Ultraviolet protection fabric
treatment
Our UV protection fabric is treated
with our UV protective agent, SCJ-966, which consists
of UV absorbers and reflectors. The former absorb
high-energy UV rays and convert them into thermal
energy or short-wave electromagnetic waves, thus
diminishing the hazards of UV rays to humans and
fabrics. The reflectors enhance fabrics' UV
reflection and scattering capacity. Our UV protection
compound is aseptic, incombustibile, non-explosive, and
non-toxic to humans. It also has no adverse effect on
the strength, handling, permeability, or shade-producing
capacity of fabrics treated with it. Testing carried
out by the Australia Test Unit and several authoritative
organizations demonstrate that our UV protection fabric
can effectively shield against UV radiation and provide
good absorption of UV rays in the range of 180-400 nm,
especially UVA and UVB. The UPF of cotton fabric
(JC40X40 110X90) treated with SCJ-966 is up to UPF50+,
even after 40 washes.
